Amtran operates 13 fixed routes in and around the area of Altoona, PA. The fleet consists of 28 buses; GMC New Look, Orion I, and Gillig Advantages and Phantoms. AMTRAN was created in May 27, 1958, thus making AMTRAN the first transportation agency to be formed within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
