    • Amazing Come Back-Callowhill 5275 which was out of service since late 2003 because of fire damage has recently returned to service. The bus was spotted by PTV Site Manager Ryan Lock on the 44.

    • Cummins Retrofit-Midvale's New Flyer 5640 is currently out of service having it's Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine replaced with an unknown Cummins engine. It is not known if SEPTA is testing out a new engine or if they're planning to retrofit the entire 2003 D40LF fleet.

    • Overhauls in process-The 2002 New Flyer D40LF and the 1996/97American Ikarus Fleets have recently Began their overhaul process. New Flyers 5515, 5534, 5555, 5558, 5590, 5593, 5595, and 5596 and American Ikarus 5368 Currently at Berridge shops. It should also be noted that the last 4 2001 D40LFs being overhauled 5433, 5438, 5450, and 5462 should be back in service any day now.

    • More Gilligs for Dart-Over the past week, DART has received six more Gilligs. These Gilligs are the 40 foot advantage model. Their fleet numbers are 140-146.

    • Tri-transit week for NJT-NJT is offering a try transit free week for all next week started on September 18th until the end of the week. Anyone with a college ID is eligible to sign up and take advantage of it. In order to apply go to www.njtransit.com. From there you will receive an email asking you to print a page out.

    • DART NABI in Movie-Shuttle Service will be provided to the NASCAR Nextel Series Race at Dover International Speedway on September 24. The trips start from Christiana Mall Park and Ride as well as Blue Hen Corporate Center in Dover, DE.

    • DART's NASCAR Shuttle is Here again- DART's Stuff the Bus program, a food drive held for those in need, is returning from November 14 to November 17. The bus they use tends to be a Champion.

    • DART NABI in Movie-DART First State's #508 will be a part of two scenes in the film "Jack of Clubs". An interesting thing to note is that this film is produced locally. It will premiere in Wilmington in Spring 2007, and then be distributed to the Boys and Girls Clubs nationwide.

    • Bus Shuttle for R8 Fox Chase-

      The R8 is bustituting between Olney and Fox Chase Stations this weekend - however, trains are still running to Lawndale Station.

    • 69th Street Terminal Beer Fest-

      Okay, so there isn't actually going to be any alcohol there. Just to let you know, for the past week or so, Heineken has bought all the advertising space at the 69th Street Terminal. It's amazing to walk into the main waiting area of the terminal building and see nothing but green Heineken advertisements all over the place. This is definitely picture-worthy.

    • College Students Get Ready-

      A reminder to College Students that College Students Ride free week on NJT begins tomorrow and runs until the 24.  HOWEVER you must print out a form that you can get from www.njtransit.com to use along with your college ID in order to ride the system at no cost.  Happy riding!

    • Late night RiverLINE service to Pennsauken-

      New Jersey Transit plans to put 1.3 million dollars into signal upgrades and such so that by next summer, RiverLINE trains will be able to run to Pennsauken/Rt 73 Park and Ride until midnight. Currently the midnight RiverLINE service only runs to 36th Street Station.
