SEPTA's Vehicle Overhaul Listing

New Flyer Overhaul Status

The 2001-02 overhauls has received an Engine overhaul, electrical upgrade, body work and cosmetic work. These buses also received led door lights as found  on the 2004  and D40LFs. Also these units were retrofitted with a back wheel kneeling device as well.

Meanwhile, the 2003-04 New Flyer D40LF' overhauls WILL be retrofitted with the Cummins ISL engine as well. These units will still sport the same transmission they have before the retrofit.

American Ikarus Overhaul Status
 

About every five years, SEPTA performs another overhaul on their buses. It's very unlikely that all 397 Ikarus's will get overhauled due to their age since in **2008 their replacements will be placed into service.  The buses going through this overhaul are receiving a Light Overhaul (LOH). The only buses which appears to received this overhaul are the later Ikaruses made in 1997.
